Prison Breakout is a popular Creative game mode that frequently makes it to the featured list on the Fortnite game mode selection screen. In the game, you play as the prisoners or the guards. The prisoners collect coins by completing tasks on the map such as robbing stores. The guards collect coins by taking out criminals and preventing them from completing those tasks.
To play the game from the home screen, you can press the Change button on the right side of the screen to open the game mode selection screen. From there, you can choose any available games. Prison Breakout is often featured near the top. If you can’t find it on there, you can navigate to the Island Code tab in the game selection screen and use the following code for Echo’s Prison Outbreak: 6531-4403-0726.
Once you’re in the game, you will be automatically assigned as a guard or prisoner, depending on which team needs more people. It is possible to change teams while in the game by interacting with the Switch Teams button, but only if the other team has space available.
As a guard, your goal is to stop the prisoners from escaping the prison, or chase them down and eliminate them if they escape. As a prisoner, you must find a way to escape the prison, then explore the city to find weapons and rob businesses, all while avoiding being stopped by the guards.
That sums up how to join the game! Earning the rewards for the quests is simple from there. Simply take out the other team!
