Crusader Kings III is coming out later this year for PC players. You can expect to see plenty of fans losing many hours to the game as they attempt to slowly take over the world, or attempt to keep their kingdom in check while ensuring their land does not become engulfed by war. The game officially releases on Sept. 1.

You can pre-order the game through Steam or through Paradox’s store. If you purchase your pre-order from the Paradox store, you will have the option to create a Paradox account. This is not required, but it does make checkout easier.

There are two versions of the game you can choose from, and one of them does come with post-launch content.

  • The Standard Edition: The Standard Edition is available for $49.99. You can purchase this version of the game and expect to receive the base game with no additional content unless you wish to purchase it separately when it releases. The Royal Edition: The Royal Edition is available for $74.99. It comes with the base game, along with the first and second flavor pack, and the first major expansion, and an Expansion Pass Bonus: Fashion of the Abbasid Court.

By pre-ordering any of the above versions of the game, you will receive the Pre-order Bonus: Garments of the Holy Empire, which adds additional clothing to the game. The two clothing pack bonuses, Garments of the Holy Empire and Fashion of the Abbasid Court add clothing variety for the NPCs and your characters in the game. These do not any enhance or modify the gameplay in any way or provide players with a bonus. It merely gives them access to additional flavor clothing options.

For those who don’t pre-order The Royal Edition of the game, the DLC items will be available at a later day, at a higher cost, totaling $35, which is ten dollars more than the current pre-order option.

The game arrives to PC through Steam on Sept. 1.
