Genshin Impact’s 1.1 update is on the way, and there will be four new characters, so knowing which Ascension materials to farm now will be a huge help, allowing you to grind out what you need before the characters even arrive in the game.
Each character will need two farmed resources, a type of book, and a specific boss to farm for drops. You can find them all listed below, with links to guides to help you farm each item.
Unfortunately, we do not have details on what materials the new weapons will require at the moment, but we will add this information as soon as we find out. Doing just a small amount of dedicated farming each day in the run-up to the update’s release will put you way ahead of the curve and allow you to instantly ascend and level your new characters to the point where they will be relevant to you in your game.
We also don’t know exactly how you will be able to get these characters yet. They could be tied to some form of event, a quest, or just obtained through Wishes, so keep in mind that you are not guaranteed access to any of them at this point in time.
