Harvestella, the latest farm RPG SIM from Square Enix, gives players plenty of things to do. As you explore this massive and colorful world, you’ll meet various characters, take down different enemies, and forage for resources for your farm. Besides crops, you’ll also raise your own livestock. However, it’s not always clear how you start this process. You can use our guide to learn how to raise livestock on your farm in Harvestella.

Raise Livestock on the Farm in Harvestella

It’s simple enough to raise livestock in the game, but you must unlock it first. There are 3 basic steps to follow to do so:

  • Unlock the Conellu Emporium
  • Build pens for livestock
  • Purchase livestock feed and feed the livestock

With the first step to get to raise livestock in Harvestella, you can head to Higan Canyon to find a Conellu Doll. You’ll go here in Chapter 2, so you can do this along the way. Once you find the Doll, you will unlock the Conellu Emporium vendor. This vendor is located in Lethe Village.

When you visit the vendor, you can only purchase livestock feed and the Totokaku mount. This leads us directly into the second step in our journey to raise livestock in Harvestella. You have to build livestock pens. For this to happen, head south from the Village and go to the Renovator. This will unlock the option to build pens.

Note that you can build pens to hold and raise Woolums (for milk) or Cluffowls (for eggs) in Harvestella. A single pen will cost you the following:

  • 5,000 Grilla
  • x5 Lumber
  • x5 Hard Stone

This is only the beginning, as the costs will rise with future upgrades. In the meantime, you only need to focus on this to unlock the option to raise livestock in the first place in Harvestella.

Once you build a pen, which takes a day, you can now move to the final step. Go back to the Conellu Emporium vendor, who will sell either a Woolum (900 Grilla) or a Cluffowl (500 Grilla) based on the type of pen you built. You also need to purchase feed for the respective livestock before you can raise them in Harvestella. You can purchase one feed per day, and the feed costs 100 Grilla each.

As long as you feed your livestock in Harvestella, you will raise them. It will take you some time, though, so check in every day so that you can raise them as soon as possible so they can start producing milk or eggs for you.

Harvestella is available on PC and Nintendo Switch.
