Rescuing an MIA Operator can become a difficult task in Rainbow Six Extraction, especially if players skipped all stages of the VR Training. An Operator becomes MIA when they are eliminated during an incursion. You will have to go on a rescue mission with a different Operator to get regain control over your fallen Operator.

Once an Operator goes MIA players will get a chance to rescue them during the next incursion. The MIA Objective will be added in the same zone where the Operator got eliminated. You can rescue these Operators by setting them free from the Archaean Tree. The Archaean Tree with the MIA Operator will be located in one of the three Hot-Zones.

The Archaean tree starts drawing power from multiple anchor points when you start pulling the Operator. Target all the anchor points and destroy them to weaken the Archaean tree. Once all the anchors are removed you can pull out the MIA Operator.

You can see which Operators are MIA on the selection screen. Selecting the Operator will inform players which mission to play to rescue the MIA Operator.

Replaying the mission will return your Operator with no XP penalty. However, their health will be reduced and you will have to use other Operators for following incursions.

Trying this in solo mode can be difficult, but make sure to complete the VR Training to get a grasp of how to rescue MIA Operators in Rainbow Six Extraction. We recommend players rescue MIA Operators at Moderate Threat Level to have an easy progression throughout.
