Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin allows you to play through just about every mission in multiplayer. That means that a few game mechanics have to be reworked to fit this mode. One of these is the Down system. If Jack goes down in multiplayer, the game won’t end, and the party can revive him.
How does reviving work in co-op in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin?
When a player goes down, they will be in a kneeled position on the floor and can be revived by holding in the Check button. This will use one of your potions or Phoenix Down to revive the downed party member. If you are the one who’s downed, you can also choose to use an acquired Phoenix Down on yourself or call for help, as shown in the picture below.
Keep in mind that if the other party member is controlled by the computer, it will not get you up. There is no revive timer, and you will stay in the downed position until you are picked up or the other players are killed. In addition, you can keep reviving a player until you are out of potions.
This means that you can revive a player up to nine times in a row, and vice-versa.
