Find out how to get some extra materials in V Rising!
As you play more and more of V Rising, you’re going to have a lot of gear that you won’t require. As you’re consistently building, crafting materials, and finding new equipment to help with your gear level, you may find yourself holding onto more things than you need. So, what better to do with it than scrap it for better materials?
Thankfully, you’ll be able to do that, but it may take a little time and patience before you’re able to fully make that happen. But, how do you get your hands on the items needed to start scrapping materials? Let’s sink our fangs into it, and find out what you’ll need to do to make this happen!
Out With The Old and In With The New in V Rising
After building up your base, you’ll start getting many new crafting machines, items, and more. You’ll also start getting too many old items, with nothing to do with them. Thankfully, you’ll be able to eventually craft the Devourer Chest. Looking like a Mimic found in many other fantasy games, you’ll be able to take old items, place them inside and get new materials from them.
This can be a great thing to have, especially as your power grows, and you start running out of room in your inventory. You’ll also be able to use the Devourer Chest to get materials and items that you can use to help reinforce your castle and build new wall types. Functional, and fashionable are key in the world of V Rising.
However, you’ll need to do a few things first. You’ll need to craft and create a Blood Altar to make sure that you’re able to track down bosses in the area, and for this specific item, you’ll need to track down and defeat the Level 26 boss, Lidia the Choas Archer.
After you have taken her down a peg or two, you’ll be able to craft the Devourer Chest, which requires these materials to build:
- 12 Planks
- 6 Copper Bars
Once you have built the Devourer Chest, you’ll just need to click on it and drag your items into it, receiving new materials back in exchange for old equipment. A nice trade-off, as you’ll be able to continue production with your other equipment, and get rid of some old gear that you no longer need. A great way to make sure that your castle isn’t crumbling from the sheer amount of old gear laying around.
