One of the best parts of gaming is character creation. This allows you to spend countless hours creating the perfect character. NBA 2K22 is officially out and players could easily find themselves recreating their own likeness in-game.

While it can be easy to get sucked into modifying minute details on your character’s face to perfectly capture your likeness, there is an easier solution. This is scanning your face into the game.

While it won’t be a 1:1 transfer, it can be pretty darn accurate. Scanning your face into the game is done via the MyNBA 2K22 app so you will need your smartphone to do this. As of now, the app is not yet available on either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store so you will have to stick to the in-game character creator for now. The app will likely release soon and then you will be able to scan your face into NBA 2K22.

When the app releases and you have it downloaded, the actual process is simple. Launch the app and log in with your Nintendo, PSN, Steam, or Xbox account information. Find the Face Scan tab and tap it. Agree to the terms and conditions or you cannot proceed. Follow instructions that will require you to scan your face from different angles.

After about a minute the process will be done. Launch NBA 2K22 on your console or PC and head to the player creation page. You will find your scanned face there. If you do not see it, repeat the process. Good luck out there baller!
