After the rush of new players during New Worlds’ incredibly popular launch, many found themselves on servers spread apart from their friends. As a result, players are now stuck on servers they don’t want to be on. Or they’re overwhelmed by opponents by an enemy faction, trapped in an unwinnable war.

Whatever the reason for wanting a server transfer, whether you only made your character there so you could log on quicker, or an opposing faction is dominating your world—Many feel transfers are needed.

But as of the most recent patch, the server transfers, free or otherwise, are nowhere to be found.

The post also detailed a lot of info about how server transfers would work. They explained how transfers would work and how the process goes:

How To Transferring Servers in New World Will Work

  • First you need to log into your character. From in-game store where there will be a new tab to claim your character transfer token. You need to leave your current Company. You need to remove any active Trading Post sell & buy orders.Your character must be located in a settlement, town, or outpost.

What comes with me when I transfer?

  • You keep all character progression. You keep your Faction alliance and progress. You keep your inventory and storage. You keep all of your currency. You keep your houses and housing decorations. You keep all quest progress.

What does not transfer with my character?

  • Your Company membership needs to be terminated before transferring.Active Trading Post sell orders and buy orders can’t transfer over.Your friends list.

Where can I move my character to?

You can move your character to any world in your region with a few exceptions:

  • You cannot move your character to a full world. You cannot move your character to a world in maintenance. You cannot move your character to a world set that you have an existing character in already.

After the first initial free transfer, each player will have to purchase a new token from the in-game store to transfer again. The team noted that if player populations become an issue, they may add more free transfers in the future.

So, unfortunately, for now, you’re stuck on your server. Your options are to create a new character on the server you want or to stay and wait for transfers to be added.
