Between your cases in Sherlock Holmes Chapter One, you will find dozens of delightful side-cases to keep you sharp and help you earn a couple of bucks on the side, too. Upon entering the square and seeing the statue of a large hand at Arnaut St and Scarlet St in Old City, you will find The Hand-Me-Down side case.

To begin, approach the statue and interact with the plaque. After a moment, Jon will be on top of the statue, reading a riddle that will send you on a short and sweet treasure hunt. The first riddle requires traveling to Eurus Rd and Crooked St in southern Old City. Look for the passageway seen below.

Enter the courtyard and look for Jon sitting in the water of a shallow well in the back right corner. Interact with the block on the well, and it will slide out to provide your next location clue. Now, you will have to head to western Grand Saray, to the Old Ruins.

Head down toward the water and you’ll find a fork in the road, marked by a brown light post—head left here, and you’ll see the giant stone archway mentioned in the clue.

Walk under the archway and turn immediately to your right after passing through it. Make sure you have the Silver Hand Riddles pinned, and you’ll find a spot to use Concentration Mode on the edge of the water—investigate it for your final location clue.

Head back to the brown light post and up the stairs—you’re looking for a tree on the left about halfway up the stairs.

Inspect the base of the tree and move the rock. You’ll find some buried treasure from Sherlock’s past, which will officially complete The Hand-Me-Down case.
