Inscryption starts as a dark and atmospheric horror deck-building game, but this changes in Act 2. Act 2 takes on the role of a Trading Card Game but still contains the card battling and puzzle-solving of Act 1. One such puzzle is the Pillar Puzzle in Magnificus’ Tower.

When the player enters Magnificus’ Tower, they will spot a note on the ground. This informs the player that they will need to defeat Magnificus’ apprentices before challenging him to a battle. To do so, players need to solve the puzzle of the Pillars and align the three sigils on each. Players should first grab the monocle on the table in the back of the room.

This lets them see the painted hints that reveal the sigils. The answers to the first pillar are found on the same scroll you read initially. Click through to see the painted sigils. These are, starting from top to bottom, Skull, Wing, Skull. Enter these, and you will battle the first apprentice.

After defeating the first apprentice, head upstairs to find the second pillar. This floor has a room to the right that the player can buy cards from the Trader and a tome that shows the player what cards they have collected. To find the sigils, battle the dummy at the top of the room. Destroy the dummy’s cards to reveal the sigils on them. These are Skull, Arm, Wing. You can now battle the second apprentice.

You can now reach the next floor and the final Pillar puzzle. These are a little harder to find, but the notes on the floor will guide you.

Talk to the chest and get the rabbit card. Talk to it again to find the first sigil. Go to the top-left or top-right corners of the room, enter the secret door, and see the second sigil. The final sigil can be guessed randomly, but the sequence is Wing, Skull, Shovel. Enter these and battle the third apprentice.
