There are plenty of tense moments while Amicia survives the gruesome world of A Plague Tale: Requiem, but her journey also has its calm, thoughtful moments, such as when she and Lucas encounter the Planet Symbols Puzzle during Chapter 2: Newcomers. While exploring, the protagonist and her companion are stopped by a large locked door. This door does not possess a key but instead is connected to a mechanism of rotating pillars. Similar to the spinning stone pillars of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the rotating columns of the Planet Symbols Puzzle must have their markings displayed in the correct order to be solved.

A Plague Tale: Requiem – Planet Symbols Puzzle Solution

To solve the Planet Symbols Puzzle in A Plague Tale: Requiem, players must listen closely to what Lucas says to Amicia. In-game, he states that the correct order of the pillar-like bells is: Jupiter, Mars, the Sun, Venus, and Mercury. The Sun is static, as it sits in the center of the chamber as a mural on the wall.

Therefore, the four symbols that players should be focused on are Jupiter, Mars, Venus, and Mercury. To get started on solving the Planet Symbols Puzzle in A Plague Tale: Requiem, walk to the left side of the chamber and face the two revolving totems. Based on gameplay footage from Guides Gamepressure, Lucas says Jupiter’s symbol looks like a “Z” for Zeus. Use Amicia’s Sling to strike the sides of the pillar until a marking that looks like a “3” appears. For the second pillar, Lucas states that Mars’ symbol is a shield crossed by a spear, which looks like an oval with a horizontal line going through its center.

After interacting with the first pair of bells, walk to the right side of the chamber to continue carrying out the solution for the Planet Symbols Puzzle in A Plague Tale: Requiem. For Venus, keep spinning the pillar until a necklace emerges, depicted by a circle with a vertical line at the bottom. Finally, Mercury looks similar to Venus’s symbol but has two horn-like protrusions coming out from its top, forming a shape that resembles two snacks wrapped around each other. Once all the bells are in order, the door will open, and the two characters can continue on their journey in A Plague Tale: Requiem.
