While many players expected Rockstar would add the Christmas-related events and items as part of the Drug Wars update, it was added separately. As part of the update, players got the snowy Los Santos, some new things and weapons, and two random events. One of the events is a shootout at The Weazel Plaza, and here is how to start it in GTA Online.
How to Start the Weazel Plaza Shootout in GTA Online
The new update of GTA Online brought two recent random events that were inspired by some of the classic Christmas movies. The first one was The Gooch, that a Grinch-like character would appear out of nowhere and steal your money and snacks.
The other random event was a shootout on the top of the Weazle Plaza. If you haven’t figured it out already, it’s a direct reference to the 1988 Die Hard. Completing this event will unlock the WM 29 Pistol.
Since it is a random event, you don’t need to do too much except play the game. However, you have to be in a free mode session to trigger the event. The event usually takes place between 22:00 – 06:00.
In case you are having a hard time finding the Weazle Plaza, it is the tallest building in the city, and you can also buy some apartments there. Once the time passed 22:00, take a helicopter and check the Weazle Plaza if the event has started for you or not.
If it didn’t, don’t worry. You can come back later, and this event is available for a few more days. If it does start, all you have to do is kill the heavily armed robbers and then pick up WM 29 Pistol from the ground.
How to Get The Gooch Mask in GTA Online
It is recommended to take a combat helicopter that has a weapon so you can easily kill the robbers and finish the job quickly. You might get a three-star wanted level, but you can get away easily.
And that is how you get and complete the Weazle Plaza event and get the WM 29 Pistol in GTA Online.
