One of the coolest new features in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee is that you can finally bring a friend along for the adventure. Yes, two player co-op is here, and while Let’s Go’s implementation isn’t that robust, it works very well for the type of game it is. The second player can join up with just a few button presses, but getting them to go away when you’re done and want to play alone instead can be troublesome. There’s no indicator or instructions within the game to explain the process, so it’s understandable why so many players have been confused by this. The process is super simple and easy, with the second player just needing to waggle their controller a bit to cause their character to disappear. Co-op stops at this point, though the controller usually remains on and connected. This lets them join back into a two player co-op game right away, but just set the controller aside if you’re truly done.
Alternatively, you can switch to handheld mode to stop co-op as well, but this seems like more work than just shaking the controller a little bit.
