In Raft, sharks will continuously attack the player’s raft, thus preventing them from making progress in the game without fear of losing progress. But there are ways in which the player can put a stop to these attacks; here is what they are and what you need to do.
How to stop sharks from attacking your raft
To stop shark attacks in Raft, you will need to either make shark bait or craft and place foundation armor on your raft’s foundations.
To craft foundation armor, you will need one metal ingot and two nails; you can get the metal ingots by melting down metal ore that you find around islands underwater, and you can get nails from scrap.
You can obtain scrap from barrels, around the reefs of islands, or from vacated rafts that spawn randomly in your game world. Once you have both resources crafted, you can then place foundation armor by selecting it from the hammer’s build menu.
Placing armor foundations will then prevent sharks from attacking your raft, whereas before, they will attack every five minutes or so.
Now, if you don’t want to go through the trouble of crafting armor foundations, you can always craft some shark bait. You can craft shark bait with two rope, and two herrings, and pomfrets.
But if you don’t have these resources on hand, you can get the rope by making it from palm leaves that spawn and float on the ocean or by chopping palm trees with an axe.
To get the two fish types you need, you will need to make a fishing rod with six planks and eight rope; you already know how to get the rope, but to get planks, you will need to chop down palm trees that you can find on islands in the game. You can also find planks floating in the ocean or inside crates.
That being said, once you got the rod made, you will be able to fish and get the two fish types you need to make the shark bait. Once the shark bait is made, you will then be able to distract sharks when they appear by throwing it in the ocean for a short amount of time.
