Now that Splatoon 3 has dropped, we’ve noticed that there are quite a few new movement options available to us, such as Inklings or Octolings! We can now Squid Roll, and the option for Squid Surge moves is also available. One cool new move that can be insanely useful is the option to super jump in Splatoon 3. However, since most players are still used to the previous Splatoon and Splatoon 2, running and swimming are still the most popular ways to traverse the battlefield. This can be a very slow movement method, especially for a fast-paced game like Splatoon 3. Luckily for you, super jumping can be used to move teammates to you, on the other side of the battlefield, in only seconds. Read below to learn how to super jump in Splatoon 3!
How to Super Jump in Splatoon 3
Super jumping is actually a “Super” easy method of movement in Splatoon 3. And, bonus! It can be done from anywhere on the battlefield during a match. The only downside is that it leaves you vulnerable to attacks for a couple of moments. Though, in hindsight, it’s not that big of a deal, considering how immensely helpful it can be. Let’s get down to the execution.
How to Beat DJ Octavio in Splatoon 3
- Pull up your map by pressing “X.” From here, you will see the location of all your teammates as little dots.
- You can choose which location you want to jump to using the D-pad or your on-screen cursor.
- If you wish to cancel your jump, simply press “X” again.
- Once you have chosen the location, you will jump to press “A.” This will put you in your swim form to charge up your super jump movement!
- When ready, your character will automatically jump up into the air and land on the location you selected for your super jump.
Keep in mind that if the teammate you chose to jump to has moved, you will not land at their new location. You will land where they were when you planned out the super jump!
This move can be super useful in battle, especially after you’ve respawned away from the battle! It’s great for that use, but since you are vulnerable for a few seconds before the jump happens, I don’t think it would be a very good idea to try to super jump in the middle of the battlefield.
Hopefully, you can take this information and Super Jump your way to victory in a crazy Splatoon 3 battle!
