Previously referred to as “Presents,” Holiday Presents are event-exclusive Throwable Items in Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 1 that serve as quest items for Challenges in the Season Quests of Week 3. When thrown, a Holiday Present will spawn a 1x1x1-Tile enclosed box with the design of a Christmas gift. The spawn time is instant, meaning there is no downtime between the moment the present hits the ground and generates the 1x1x1 box. Similar to previous seasons, the inside of a Holiday Present is not empty but produces a variety of useful loot, including items of Epic or Legendary Rarity. 

 Throwing Holiday Presents in Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 1

To complete the Fortnite Week 3 Season Quest “Throw Holiday Presents in different Named Locations,” players must travel to three Named Locations on the Battle Royale map, find a Holiday Present, and simply throw it on the ground. The spot can be any one of the nine Named Locations in Chapter 4: Season 1.

Where To Find Tactical Pistol in Fortnite Chapter 4

The Named Locations in Chapter 4: Season 1 include Breakwater Bay, The Citadel, Anvil Square, Shattered Slabs, Frenzy Fields, Faulty Splits, Slappy Shores, Brutal Bastion, and Lonely Labs. Finding Holiday Presents is straightforward, as it can spawn as Floor Loot in any location. According to YouTube content creator Kanga, Holiday Presents are of Legendary Rarity, meaning that they will always have an orange glow about them, making the gift boxes easier to see. Once players have found several, they can carry up to five in their inventory. The next step is traveling to three of the nine Named Locations listed above and throwing the Holiday Presents on the ground in Fortnite to complete the corresponding quest.

Completing quests is not the only practical use of throwing Holidays Presents in Fortnite. As noted above, the large boxes also generate loot, making them a great source of high-tier gear. Moreover, they can be used as a platform to reach elevated areas or as an obstacle to stop enemies in their path. Throwing one at an opponent can entrap them, giving players time to flee or plan their next attack. Players can also use Holiday Presents to encase themselves for protection and escape out the opposite side of where their foes are facing.
