Battlefield 2042 features 22 weapons at launch. You can equip these weapons along with a Specialist, throwable, and gadget in your loadout. The weapons are divided into various categories and sub-categories depending on their utilization:

  • Primary Weapons - SMG (4), Assault (4), LMG (2), Marksman (3), Sniper (3), and Utility (3).Secondary Weapons (3)

In order to unlock these weapons, you need to reach a specific level in the game. Here’s which level every weapon unlocks at in Battlefield 2042.

Submachine Guns (SMG)

Assault Rifles (AR)

The weapons included in Battlefield Portal don’t have any unlock requirements. Regardless, playing Portal is a good way to earn progression points and level up in the game. Hence, you can level up and unlock the weapons in Battlefield 2042 by playing any game mode—All-Out Warfare, Hazard Zone, and Portal.

*XP gains in Battlefield Portal have been temporarily disabled at launch due to exploitation. It will be reintroduced with applied fixes.
