We’re finally in Season 19, Season of the Seraph, in Destiny 2, and we have a whole bunch of new artifact mods to unlock, including Breach and Clear, which is now called Weakened Clear. While most of the other seasons on Destiny 2 focused on the Light Subclasses, the Season of the Seraph is bringing the spotlight back to the Stasis subclass. However, the most intriguing part of the new season so far in the return of Breach and Clear, though it’s now called Weakened Clear. Keep reading to learn how to unlock Breach and Clear, or Weakened Clear, in Destiny 2.
Destiny 2: How to Unlock Breach and Clear (Weakened Clear)
Breach and Clear was first introduced into the game in May of 2021. Most players didn’t expect it to return, as most strong artifact mods are typically a one time deal. However, it has finally returned in the Season of the Seraph, and we are absolutely living for it.
The effect of Breach and Clear is pretty basic, but having it makes a world of difference. “When using a Grenade Launcher, damaging a boss, Champion, or breaking a combatant’s shield will reload your stowed weapons and weaken the targeted combatant.” This mod actually does a fantastic job of dealing bonus damage to bosses and severely reducing your reload time, which can be the difference between losing or winning a close fight. Due to Breach and Clear’s introduction in Destiny 2 in the Season of the Splicer, grenade launchers became very popular, and we’re expecting Weakened Clear to have the same effect this season.
Breach and Clear can be unlocked by leveling up the Seraph Cipher Artifact. However, it can’t be unlocked until you’ve unlocked 14 other mods in the Seraph Cipher Artifact since it is in the last row of the Artifact’s available mod unlocks. Though, you can unlock these easily simply by just playing Destiny 2. Every activity in the game gives you both coins to go toward unlocking them, or even experience. The majority of the mods will be unlocked before you even reach level 100 of the Season of the Seraph Battle Pass.
The quickest way to earn the required experience points to unlock Breach and Clear, or Weakened Clear, in Destiny 2 is to complete seasonal challenges and bounties, and equipping an increased XP mod on your ghost.
