Strikers are the playable characters in Omega Strikers, each offering their own unique movesets, playstyles, and abilities. A match consists of two teams with three characters each. Similar to Apex Legends, there is a small preparation window before every match, during which the three players of a team can choose their character. At the start, newcomers will have access to four Strikers: Juliette, Kai, Dubu, and Estelle. Despite being “starter Strikers,” Juliette, Estelle, and Kai are more than capable of excelling through the Ranks. However, fans are likely curious about how they can unlock new characters in Omega Strikers, like Juno or Drek’Ar.
Unlocking New Characters in Omega Strikers
To unlock new Striker characters in Omega Strikers, players have two options. First, they can earn Striker Credits, a currency earnable via Mission completion and gameplay. On the other hand, fans get new Strikers using Ody Points, the game’s premium currency purchasable with real money.
What are Trainings in Omega Strikers? Answered
When unlocking new characters in Omega Strikers, players must gain access to the in-game Store. However, this feature is locked in the beginning until fans have completed the tutorial Missions that teach gameplay basics. This process should take around 5 minutes, which is a very accessible period of time to get into the game. After the Store is open, players can enter it through the main menu. Here, they can purchase Strikers like Atlas and Era for 10,000 Striker Credits or 800 Ody Points. Keep in mind that this 10K price tag is for the default list of Strikers available at the game’s launch. As time goes on and new Strikers are added, they will cost more, such as Asher, who can be purchased for 25,000 Striker Credits. The system works somewhat similarly to League of Legends, where the newest Champions will have a much higher cost than those in the older playable roster.
While it might seem tempting to spend Ody Points to unlock a new character in Omega Strikers, players are encouraged to be patient and complete the first set of Missions until the Season Pass becomes available. The rewards of these initial Missions will grant more than enough Striker Credits for players to buy their first Striker. Still, buying every playable character is also not a good idea since fans should also consider which Training perks they would like to buy to build the Striker they would like to main.
