So you need to learn how to unlock cooking in Harvestella? Harvestella is yet another life-simulation game, close to Rune Factory, Disney Dreamlight Valley, and Animal Crossing. Cooking in these games is an essential mechanic, alongside farming, and brings a ton of fun as you explore new recipes.

Well, cooking won’t be available to you for some time in the game. However, once you unlock cooking in Harvestella, no one can stop you on your mission. Cooking is tied to your character’s Stamina and health. See, just like in real life.

Harvestella: How to Unlock Cooking

Harvestella is the latest title in the increasingly popular life simulation video games genre. Square Enix developed this brightly colored world of Seaslight, threatened by the apocalypse steaming from the Season of Death. As the main protagonist, you embark on a mission to save the falling world. To do so, you will need food, armor, and weapons.

Regarding food, farming and cooking are your preferred skills to master. However, cooking in Harvestella won’t be available right away to you.

How to Restore Health in Harvestella

First, you will need to follow the story during the first few days of the Spring season. The story progresses, and you will learn new game mechanics, meet new characters, and eventually gain access to growing your farm. Next, your crops will grow and be ready to be sold. Selling your crops will earn you Grilla (money), essential to unlock cooking in Harvestella.

To unlock cooking in Harvestella, you will need to complete a few steps:

  • Before you start cooking, you need to refurbish the kitchen counter in your house
  • To do this, you need 2,000 Grilla, which will take time to collect once you start selling your crops.
  • Once you have enough money, head over to the town’s Renovator.
  • You can choose the Kitchen Counter upgrade when you get there, which will let you cook meals.

The good thing is that upgrading your kitchen won’t cost any additional material, like other renovation jobs.

Make sure to make the kitchen upgrade your primary goal. Meals that you will make will replenish both your health and your Stamina. If you lose Stamina, the game will punish you by taking away Grilla and in-game time.

Harvestella is available on Windows and Nintendo Switch.
