As you venture through Harvestella, you’ll begin to notice that there are fish symbols scattered around the map near water. Fishing is one of the coolest parts of most adventure games, but if you try to fish, you’ll get a message saying that you aren’t able to. You don’t have a fishing pole, but don’t worry. A fishing pole isn’t actually required to fish in the game. Fishing is pretty simple to do in Harvestella as well. Keep reading to learn how to unlock fishing in Harvestella.

Unlocking Fishing in Harvestella

To unlock fishing, you’ll have to travel back to the first town you visit in Harvestella, Lethe Village. When you head into Lethe, there will be buildings on either side of you. If you head into the second building on your right, you’ll find yourself exactly where you need to be: the General Store. When you’re in there, you can buy the Fishing Guide for 800 Grilla, the universal currency of Harvestella. Once you’ve purchased the Fishing Guide, you’ll learn how to fish without buying or crafting a fishing pole. This will unlock fishing in Harvestella, no matter where you are on the map.

How to Fish in Harvestella

Fishing is fairly simple in Harvestella, as opposed to real-life fishing. However, there are a few key things that you should be aware of before you take to the waters. When you cast your line into a body of water, the bobber will bob up and down if there’s fish in the water. Once you get a fish on your line, there will be a splash where the bobber once was. You’ll have to use the action button shown on your screen to begin reeling in your line. Make sure you drop your line in any water you come across, as there are different places throughout the map where you can catch rare fish and make loads of Grilla.
