Loot River is an unforgiving roguelike where you explore a series of mysterious and dangerous areas. At the start, you have access to two weapons and can carry this number when exploring. But, you may be wondering if you can unlock new weapons and how to equip them.
To unlock new weapons in Loot River, you must purchase them from an NPC named Freya. Freya is found in the Sanctuary next to the chicken coop. You need Knowledge to purchase a weapon. This resource is gained from killing monsters, opening chests, and completing areas within a certain time limit. You lose all Knowledge on dying, so make sure to spend it when you return to the Sanctuary.
How to equip weapons in Loot River
There are two ways to equip new weapons in Loot River. When you first purchase a weapon, you may equip it at that time, replacing one of your weapons. But after that, new weapons are found as random drops from enemies, meaning you need to rely on RNG.
When you respawn, you will have your starting sword and spear. Keep an eye out for weapon drops so that you can equip better weapons and increase your chance of surviving combat.
