Horizon Forbidden West allows players to upgrade their equipment and “pouches.” You can do this at workbenches scattered around the game’s massive open-world map. The pouch upgrades will garner a range of effects mostly centered around the carrying capacity for the targeted item.
Spike Holster upgrades allow players to carry more Spikes at a time. Spikes can do massive amounts of damage to enemy machines, so this upgrade is well worth the trouble of finding its crafting components.
What ingredients are needed to upgrade the Spike Holster?
There are a total of four Spike Holster upgrades. The items needed for each upgrade are listed below:
- Upgrade 1 - 25 Metal Shards and 2 Fox HideUpgrade 2 - 50 Metal Shards, 1 Peccary Hide, and 1 Rabbit BoneUpgrade 3 - 100 Metal Shards, 1 Duck Wishbone, and 3 Owl FeathersUpgrade 4 - 200 Metal Shards, 2 Crab Shells, 1 Bass Bone, and 1 Peccary Bone
These items can be obtained by killing animals around the map and looting their bodies. Some items are more difficult than others, but animals seem to have a much higher chance of dropping rare items than machines, so it shouldn’t take too long to upgrade this pouch.
