If you have ever played a farming sim, then you know it’s imperative that you upgrade your tools. Rune Factory 5 isn’t your standard life sim, though, so the way you go about things is a bit different. In fact, you will need to jump through a few small hoops before you can upgrade any tools.
You will need to have a forge, a forging license, and the materials needed to make your desired tools. You can obtain the license from Eliza in exchange for SEED Points, and the forging test is easy to pass without having to look up any answers. Once the test is done, head over to see Palmo and buy your first forge.
You will need to gather the materials needed for each recipe to make it. The Rune Points it costs to make each item will differ, but if you have found a recipe, then you won’t have to use as many. You can eat Bread to learn new recipes and should have a few started Bread given to you near the start of the game.
You can harvest the materials for making items from dungeons. Be sure to take a look at the cost of making a tool before going out to collect items.
