Vehicles can be beneficial in Fortnite to make a quick getaway or race away from the storm. There are great additions to vehicles now with upgradable mods and wheels, not to mention the entrance of the tank and other special vehicles.

With the new vehicles upgrades and already having to fill the vehicles with gas, it’s only fitting that we get a solution to repair our damaged rides. Repair Torches are now scattered around the island and make it possible to fix up your cars and other vehicles to help keep from any untimely explosions. Here’s how to use them.

Find a Repair Torch

You can usually find repair Torches by searching red toolboxes around buildings, houses, and other locations. Or, they can be located near garages and gas stations, particularly ones with car repair shops near them. They are only rare items, so finding them shouldn’t be that difficult.

Approach your Damaged Vehicle

Once you find a Repair Torch, you’ll want to head over to the vehicle you want to fix up. The vehicle has to be damaged to use the Torch on it. You should be able to see the health right over the top of it in a green bar. Cars usually have a smaller health bar than tanks, so more oversized vehicles might take longer to repair.

Equip the Torch and Repair

When standing beside your damaged vehicle, equip your Repair Torch by switching over to it in your inventory. You can do this by pressing the right and left bumpers on your console controller or PC by pressing the corresponding number to the slot. Then all you have to do to repair the vehicle is aim the tool at the car and hold the m1 or right trigger until the health bar is filled. Each repair tool has 200 fuel, so depending on its already been used or what vehicle you’re repairing, it may not have enough to completely max repair it.
